The second series of All About Hinduism was produced, written,  narrated, and edited by HAF Senior Director of Communications Mat McDermott. Assistance with script development was provided by HAF Senior Director of Education Strategy Dr. Vijay Satnarine and HAF Education Research Assistant Devala Gupta.

Commenting on the award, McDermott stated:

“I’m deeply happy that my colleagues at the Religion Communicators Council have again honored All About Hinduism with a 2026 DeRose-Hinkhouse Award. In the past year the Hindu American community has witnessed a rise in anti-Hindu sentiment from segments of the US public, some of which is clearly rooted in stereotypes and misconceptions about Hindus. All About Hinduism was always intended to clear up such misconceptions and provide a resource explaining the basics of Hinduism to the general public and improve religious and cultural literacy.”

The DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Awards are given annually to active members of the Religion Communicators Council who demonstrate excellence in religious communications and public relations.
